Today Sony posted to social media announcing the PS5 Curing of Gaming streaming event. The event was originally scheduled for the first week of June, but was delayed in response to the protests over the murder of George Floyd. The stream will run for over an hour and promises to show off the games scheduled as launch titles for the PS5 when it launches this holiday season. The announcement post also revels that the game content during the presentation will be streamed at 1080p resolution running at 30 frames per second. The company assures that the games will look even better running in 4K. They also recommend that the stream be watched with headphones because the showcase will have audio work that will be harder to hear coming from laptop or phone speakers.
This digital showcase will be streamed on the PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels, and will be streamed as part of the Summer Game Fest, this digital broadcast replaces Sony’s conference that was planned for E3 2020 before it was cancelled.
The stream is scheduled for June 11th at 1pm PST
