This weekend the YouTuber Dashie of DashieGames premiered the final episode of his long-running Super Mario Maker series. In the video Dashie started by assuring his viewers that it is not the end of Mario Maker content on the channel, and that this only marks the end of the regular weekly series where Dashie has been uploading his Super Mario Maker every week. Future Super Mario Maker content will be less regimented. The series started back in 2015 with the original Super Mario Maker on the Nintendo Wii U, and with the release of Super Mario Maker 2 in 2019 for Nintendo Switch, Dashie moved on to that game for the series.
Dashie’s unique blend of humor, perseverance, and skill has led the series to become incredibly popular netting hundreds of thousands to millions of viewers each video. Over it’s 6-year run Dashie has produced around 300 episodes, and become one of the most renown streamers of Super Mario Maker content. Over the years his fans have created and submitted thousands of levels for Dashie to play. Dashie’s Super Mario Maker content inspired many others to start streaming user-created levels. At his time Dashie has said to expect that there may not be any Super Mario Maker content coming in the next month, and the next time he plays it might be a live stream or, a video depending on what he decides.
