The Direct opens with the reveal of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes a new game in the Fire Emblem Warriors series from Koei-Tecmo set in the world of Fire Emblem Three Fates and telling a brand-new story. The game is scheduled to release on June 24th 2022.

Next, more details on Advance Wars 1+2 Re-boot Camp were announced. All of the COs in the game will be fully-voiced. The game will also have the map-builder from the original games, the War Room where players can earn high scores on more challenging maps, and battle mode where players can engage in local and online multiplayer battles. The Game releases April 8th 2022

The 2017 Space-Exploration game No Man’s Sky is coming to Nintendo Switch in Summer of 2022.

A brand-new entry in the Super Mario Strikers series was announced. Mario Strikers: Battle League is the third game in the franchise following 2007’s Super Mario Strikers: Charged on the Nintendo Wii. This game will be developed by Next Level Games, who developed all the previous Super Mario Strikers titles, and features new gameplay elements. Players will be able to equip gear that change the look and stats of the characters. Up to 8 players can play together on a single Nintendo Switch System. The game will have online single matches and an online club mode where players can create their own clubs and invite up to 20 players who will compete and ascend the club ranks. The Game is set to release on June 10, 2022.

Splatoon 3‘s new Salmon Run Co-op mode was revealed. In Salmon Run: Next Wave players will team up to gather Salmonid eggs and fight off waves of invading Salmonids, the trailer shows off several new boss Salmonid that will appear and attack the players. Splatoon 3 releases summer of 2022.

Front Mission 1st is a full remake of the first Front Mission game. It is a strategy RPG where players use powerful mechs called Wanzers and lead battalions to victory in the unique tactical RPG gameplay where players can choose what parts of the enemy mechs to target in combat. Players can customize their Wanzers with parts and weapons to suit their strategies and explore the deep story in this classic game. Front Mission 1st launches Summer 2022. A remake of Front Mission 2 is also scheduled for release sometime in the future.

Disney Speedstorm is A Mario Kart-inspired arcade racer featuring Disney Pixar Characters. The game will be free-to-play and will have seasons that introduce new characters and courses. It will also feature cross-platform play and online multiplayer and split-screen modes. comes to Nintendo Switch Summer 2022.

Star Wars Force Unleashes in coming to Nintendo Switch on April 20th.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection features Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations and all the solo DLC for each game all in one collection. The game releases February 17th 2022.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance is an action RPG where players can play as SD versions of Gundams from throughout the franchise as they battle enemies and investigate a phenomonenon that is causing chaos across the Gundam timeline. Players will be able to customize their Gundams to improve stats and lead a team of three gundams into battle. The game also has online co-op. SD Gundam Battle Alliance is set to release later in 2022.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a remaster of the classic RPG game Chrono Cross. In the game takes on the role of Serge, a young man who finds himself mysteriously transported to another world. The player sets off on a grand denture to discover the reason for this dimensional warping and stop it at the source before it destroys all existence. The game features over 40 party members that can be recruited and one of the great classic stories in gaming. The game also includes the Radical Dreamers text adventure that had previously been a Japan-Exclusive. The game release April 7th 2022.

New details on Kirby and the Forgotten Land were revealed. In the game all the Waddle Dees have been kidnapped by new enemies called the beast pack and Kirby must go on a new adventure to rescue them. Kirby has a new mouthful mode where he inhales certain objects and gains new abilities that are different than copy abilities. There will be a Waddle Dee item shop where Kirby can get new enhanced versions of copy abilities that have increased strength. The game launches March 25th 2022.

MLB The Show ’22 is coming to Nintendo Switch the game has cross-progression so players can take thier progress from other platforms to the Switch version of the game and vise-versa. The game also has crossplay.

Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud is a collection featuring cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts III that can be played on Nintendo switch as long as it’s connected to the internet. It’s Available now as a collection, or for individual purchase through Nintendo Eshop.

Klonoa returns with Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series. A game collection featuring Klonoa Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil the game launches July 8th 2022.

Portal Companion Collection features Portal and Portal 2 and launches later this year.

The previously Japan-exclusive Live-A-Live series makes its debut outside of Japan with this full remake in the HD-2D style of Octopath Travelers, and the upcoming Triangle Strategy. In this game players choose and play through multiple stories set in different places and timelines and as they complete these separate adventures they eventually unify to reveal epic adventure. The game releases July 22, 2022.

A new entry in the Wii Sports series was revealed. Nintendo Switch Sports features Bowling, Kendo, and Tennis from previous Wii Sports titles. It also introduces new sports, Badminton, Soccer, and Volley Ball. Golf is coming to the game via a free update this fall. The game features local and online play. new characters called sportsmates that replace the Mii AI characters from the previous games. Players will be able to use their own Mii characters in the game. Nintendo Switch Sports releases April 29th 2022. An online playtest will be held February 18th-20th, only players with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership will be able to participate in the playtest.

Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Festival is the latest entry in the Taiko no Tatsujin series. This game will have 76 songs in total including Gurenge from the anime Demon Slayer, Megalovainia from UnderTale, and a orchestral version of the Legend of Zelda theme song. Practice Mode allows players to practice sections of songs to improve their skill. In DON-chan mode up to 4 players can form a band an put on a concert. In Great Drum Toy War players face off and compete against each other on songs. The game release this year and a paid in-game subscription service that offers access to 500 songs will be available at launch.

A demo for the upcoming Tactical RPG Triangle Strategy is not available on Nintendo Switch Eshop. The demo is playable up until chapter 3 of the game and the progress the player makes in the demo can be transferred to the full game when it launches later this year.

The Cuphead Delicious Last Course paid DLC adds a whole new story where players explore a new Inkwell Island and fight a series of new wacky and challenging bosses. The DLC also introduces Ms. Chalice as a playable character. Her double-jump and rolling dodges add a soft easy mode option to make the game a bit easier for some players. The DLC releases June 30th 2022.

A free DLC is now available for Metroid Dread, it adds two modes Dread Mode and Boss Rush. In Dread Mode the player has one hit and taking any damage causes a game over. In Rookie Mode the player has increased health recovery from items. In April a 2nd free DLC will add a Boss Rush mode to the game.

EarthBound and EarthBound: Beginnings are coming to Nintendo Switch Online.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course is paid DLC coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This DLC will add remasters of classic courses from throughout the Mario Kart series. There will be 6 waves each containing 8 courses released over time for a total of 48 additional courses released by the end of 2023. Courses announced so for for Wave 1 include Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii, Coco Mountain for Mario Kart 64, and Tokyo Blur from Mario Kart Tour. The DLC will cost $24.99 to purchase. For subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack the DLC will be free to download.

The Direct ended with the announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The story of the game will show the futures of the worlds depicted in Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The game will release in September of 2022.
